Terms of service

Last updated 12 May 2026

Lopari is provided free, as-is, by one developer. Use it for what it is for, do not hold us liable if something on your machine breaks, and do not use the project's name or assets to claim affiliation you do not have.

1. Who these terms are with

By downloading or using the Lopari desktop launcher, this website at lopari.app, or any associated Patreon-connected feature (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. The Service is operated by an individual developer publishing under the itsloopyo handle. Contact: Bluesky @itsloopyo.

2. What Lopari is

Lopari is a desktop game launcher. It scans PC games you have lawfully obtained and installed yourself, filters the list to games that support head tracking (whether natively or via a community mod), and gives you a single Play button per game. For a small subset of titles where head tracking is added by a community mod, Lopari can install that mod via its own installer script and uninstall it again via its own uninstaller script. The mods modify only files on your machine and are reversible.

Lopari is an independent, unofficial project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise associated with any game publisher, developer, storefront, hardware vendor, or trademark holder mentioned in the app or on this website. All game titles, trademarks, and logos are the property of their respective owners and are referenced here solely to identify titles that support head tracking.

3. License to use the Service

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Lopari for non-commercial personal use, subject to these Terms and the open-source licenses governing any individual components you install through the launcher.

You may not:

4. Your games and your machine

You are responsible for the games you launch and the mods you install with Lopari. Modifying a PC game can violate that game's End User License Agreement, can void warranties, and can in some titles result in penalties imposed by the publisher (including multiplayer bans). Community mods installed through Lopari are designed to be reversible via their accompanying uninstall script, but the responsibility for what you choose to install, against which titles, and under what circumstances is yours.

Do not use Lopari to modify multiplayer, online, or competitive games, or any game whose terms of service prohibit client modification. The Service and the optional community mods it can install are intentionally focused on single-player camera and immersion changes for titles where such modification is tolerated.

5. Mod content and third-party IP

Any community mods that Lopari can install are published under their own licenses by their own authors. They modify the behavior of a game that runs entirely on your machine; they do not redistribute the game's assets. No warranty is given for any mod against any particular game version. If a mod misbehaves, your remedy is to uninstall it.

If you are a rights holder and believe content surfaced in the launcher or on this site infringes a trademark or copyright you control, contact us via the channel in section 12 and we will work with you in good faith to address it.

6. Patreon and supporter features

The project may offer a Patreon connection. By linking your Patreon account to the Service:

Supporter-only features are a thank-you for fueling the project, not a paid product. Their availability, scope, and pricing may change at any time without notice.

7. No warranty

The Service is provided as is and as available, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. No promise is made that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with any particular game version.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages, including loss of game saves, loss of access to multiplayer features, account suspensions imposed by third parties, or hardware issues, arising from your use of the Service.

Total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Service will not exceed £50.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9. Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to supporter features at our discretion, especially if you violate these Terms.

10. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated over time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Reverse engineering

You may not decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer the Service, except to the extent that such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law (for example, the limited rights to decompile for interoperability granted to lawful users by section 50B of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988). Where you rely on a statutory right, you must first request the information you need from us; reverse engineering is permitted only if that request is refused or not answered within a reasonable time.

12. Your statutory rights

If you are a consumer under the laws of England and Wales, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights, including any rights you may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 in relation to digital content supplied free of charge.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, except that, if you are a consumer resident in another part of the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which you reside.
